Col. 3:17 Ministering to Others in a Variety of Ways Hillside offers many ministries that support our congregation, our community, and our world. Hillside strives to minister to the entire family and encourages each one to seek a personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Family Ministries
We promote the guiding principle that everything we do is to honor the Lord Jesus. In our families and individually, we continue to seek God's plan for the people of Hillside Baptist Church. Worship and Music
Music plays an important role in our worship service. We welcome new voices and instruments for our praise team.
We are currently praying for a pianist to join our fellowship. Bible StudyExploring God's Word is an integral part of our spiritual life. We offer a lively, pastor-led discussion group and Bible-based study materials.
The main Bible Study takes place on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. using a Study Guide published quarterly. There is also a weekly discussion series on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. and these run for several weeks at a time at the church. For the winter months, the Wednesday Night Bible Study is replaced by a Thursday Night Bible Study that takes place at 7 p.m. at the home of Tom and June Cairns. The focus on families is to teach and engage in missions. These ministries support world and home missions through prayer and giving while providing opportunities for fellowship, discipleship, and outreach for each area of the family.
Sunday Services – Complimentary coffee and pastries contribute to an informal, relaxed Adult Sunday School. After the Worship Service, refreshments are provided to encourage people linger, chat, and enjoy fellowship.
